The biggest challenge facing Ward 1 and West St. Paul over the next several years will be transportation infrastructure. Growth is coming whether we like it or not. Our responsibility is to make sure we are prepared for it. That means working closely with Manitoba Infrastructure, advocating aggressively for our community, and ensuring critical projects receive the attention they deserve. I have spent years building relationships, understanding the issues facing our municipality, and working to get things done. I am ready to continue that work. West St. Paul has been my home for two decades. I care deeply about this community, and I will continue to work every day to protect what makes it special while planning responsibly for our future.

I believe drainage and traffic are the biggest challenges facing Ward 1; I have lived here for twenty years, and every spring I see the water problems residents face, as well as the daily traffic. We need properly maintained ditches and improved traffic conditions. I cannot promise every issue will be resolved immediately, but I can promise to come prepared, raise residents' concerns and keep following up. I believe representation means showing up, listening and following through.

Ward 1 needs a councillor who is available, accessible and accountable. My priorities include: drainage and ditch maintenance; traffic lights and traffic control, especially with Costco coming; safer roads and better road maintenance; more playgrounds and parks for children; water-splash play areas for kids; more RCMP patrols for community safety; recruiting more residents into COPP; renovating McNaughton Park with seniors in mind; protecting Whistler Hollow from inappropriate multi-family development; and planning infrastructure ahead of growth. I will work to make sure Ward 1's concerns are heard, followed up on and acted upon. Available. Accessible. Accountable.
